2017年11月、日本写真芸術専門学校3年制の卒業生5人で結成した写真家集団です。
山市直佑、小須田翔、神田開主、斎藤小弥太、奥初起、の5人からなります。写真作家の登竜門と呼ばれる公募展を勝ち抜き、個展を行なった経験のあるメンバーが集まっています。

「単なる趣味」ではない、本気の作家表現によるグループ展を行なっていこう、と写真家集団「BAUM」を結成しました。
名前の「BAUM」は「バウムクーヘン」のバウムですが、木を表すドイツ語です。ひとつの樹木が育ち、年輪を刻むように、枝葉を広げる大きな樹木に育てていきたい、という思いからこの語をとりました。

Not as “ordinary hobby”, as “art expression”, We’ll hold exhibitions and make publications. For these object, we’ve founded [BAUM] today.
The name of [BAUM] is “tree” in German. With hope that we’d like to grow this group up like a great umbrella timber as if woods engrave rings in theirselves.
